ABOUT OUR URGENT CARE
Urgent Care
At Alpha Veterinary Clinic, we understand that pets do not always get sick or injured at convenient times. When unexpected health concerns arise, our team works hard to provide prompt, compassionate care while helping pet owners feel informed and supported every step of the way.
While we primarily operate by scheduled appointments, we do our best to accommodate urgent care needs throughout the day whenever possible. If your pet is experiencing an urgent medical concern, we encourage you to call our team so we can help determine the best next steps and work to fit your pet into our schedule.
Our clinic is equipped with comprehensive in-house IDEXX laboratory equipment, state-of-the-art digital radiography, and in-house ultrasonography capabilities, allowing us to perform thorough diagnostic workups quickly and efficiently.
Many in-house laboratory results are available in as little as 15 minutes, helping our doctors evaluate urgent cases and begin treatment plans as soon as possible.
Our diagnostic capabilities include:
Complete blood cell counts (CBC)
Organ function testing
Electrolyte evaluation
Urinalysis
Thyroid testing
Pancreatitis screening
Cortisol testing
Additional specialty diagnostics
We also utilize advanced digital radiography with access to radiology consultations and specialist review when needed, helping us provide timely answers and high-quality care for sick or injured pets.
Our ultrasound machine allows our doctors to perform quick, non-invasive assessments when appropriate, helping us evaluate concerns such as abdominal abnormalities, fluid accumulation, urinary concerns, and other internal conditions in a timely manner.
Skilled, Collaborative Care
One of the greatest strengths of Alpha Veterinary Clinic is our collaborative team approach. Our doctors and veterinary nurses come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, allowing us to work together to provide thoughtful, thorough care during stressful situations.
We know urgent visits can feel overwhelming, and our goal is to help both pets and their owners feel supported, informed, and cared for throughout the process.

Emergency Stabilization & Referral Support
Although we are not a 24-hour emergency hospital, we do see and assess emergency cases whenever possible. If a pet requires hospitalization, overnight monitoring, advanced imaging, surgery, or specialized emergency treatment beyond what we can safely provide in-clinic, our team will help stabilize your pet and coordinate transfer to the appropriate emergency or specialty facility.
Our priority is always making sure your pet receives the best care possible as quickly as possible.
