Preventive medicine is just as important for exotic and farm animals as it is for traditional companion pets. We offer routine wellness care, health evaluations, vaccination recommendations, parasite screening, and husbandry guidance to help keep these animals healthy and thriving.

For example:
        Goats and sheep are generally recommended to have fecal parasite testing           every 4–6 months along with routine vaccinations
        Ferrets require rabies and distemper vaccinations
        Additional wellness recommendations vary based on species, lifestyle, and            environment

Because preventive care recommendations can differ greatly between species, we encourage owners to contact our team to discuss individualized vaccine and wellness protocols for their pets or livestock.

Our veterinary team is able to evaluate and treat a variety of medical concerns in exotic and farm animal patients. We offer:

Our advanced in-house diagnostics allow us to assess many conditions quickly while also giving us access to specialized reference laboratory testing when needed.

Surgical & Reproductive Services

We also offer select surgical and reproductive procedures for exotic and farm animal patients, including:
        Rabbit spays and neuters
        Small animal surgical procedures
        Livestock banding services
        Additional procedures depending on species and individual patient needs

Farm Call Services

In addition to in-clinic appointments, Alpha Veterinary Clinic also offers farm call services for select small farm animal patients when appropriate. Farm visits allow us to evaluate and treat animals in their home environment while helping minimize stress for both pets and owners.

Referral & Collaborative Care

While we strive to provide comprehensive care for exotic and farm animal patients, we also recognize when specialty care may be beneficial. Our team maintains relationships with referral and specialty facilities so we can help coordinate advanced care when needed.
