Our groomer, Michael, has over 30 years of grooming experience and has been a trusted part of the Alpha Veterinary Clinic family for many years. His extensive experience working with a wide variety of breeds, coat types, and temperaments allows him to tailor grooming services to each pet’s individual needs.

Because Michael works closely alongside our veterinary team, he is often able to identify concerns such as:

Grooming Requirements

To help maintain a safe and healthy environment for all pets in our facility, we do require grooming patients to be established veterinary clients at Alpha Veterinary Clinic and remain current on required vaccinations.

Current grooming requirements include:
Dogs:
        Rabies vaccine
        Distemper vaccine
        Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine

Cats:
        Rabies vaccine
        Feline distemper vaccine

These requirements help protect both our grooming and medical patients while maintaining a healthy environment within the clinic.

Sedated Grooming Services

We also offer sedated grooming services for pets who may struggle with traditional grooming appointments due to fear, anxiety, age-related discomfort, medical concerns, or behavioral challenges.

Our goal with sedated grooming is to help pets receive the care they need as safely and comfortably as possible.

Before sedation:
Our doctors perform an examination to ensure your pet is an appropriate candidate for sedation
We strongly recommend baseline bloodwork to evaluate anesthetic safety and overall health

During sedated grooming procedures, pets are carefully monitored by our trained veterinary team to ensure their safety and comfort throughout the process.
